Privileged Preppies Party on Newbury Street

Although it may look like there are college students who have taken over a Newbury Street store front to party, don't get too confused just yet. Jack Wills is a new, "fabulously british", company that has made the transition from Europe to begin widespread Prep love to the US, starting in Massachusetts. In previous years they have established stores on both of the Massachusetts Islands, Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket, but now there is a 3 story Jack Wills store in Boston's premiere shopping destination. The interior decor is so perfect for the niche market they are trying to target. They only care about 18-21 year olds, and discourage others from wearing their clothing. It may seem a little out there to some conservatives, but I find it to be refreshing and honest. Jack Wills knows their target market and how to get the best of it.

I love their clothing hands down. Although it may seem a little pricey, compared to competitor Ralph Lauren Rugby or other leading brands, their prices are set appropriately, (see! I did learn something from microeconomics last semester). In fact, Jack Wills wants your to love their clothing just as much, and for this reason they hire Brand Representatives. This position may be unpaid, but its free Jack Wills clothing to wear and forth promote the brand and image of who a Jack Wills consumer is, aka fabulously preppy. The reason why I am currently so obsessed with this company, is because I have recently found out about their "seasonaire" positions. These are people who are hired to be at the best parties, sent on trips to Aspen/Vineyard, attend Ivy League sporting events, ALL FOR THE SAKE OF COMPANY RESEARCH ! The company puts a lot of time in to research and development to fully understand the lifestyles of the people they are trying to reach. I think it is clear through their marketing and brand thus far they are doing a fantastic job. Although I do think they could go even further, there are many untouched markets rich in preppies who would be dying to know about this company. I look forward to seeing where they take this company. Currently I am looking to pursue a degree in marketing and brand management, is this position perfect for me or what?! If only now I could figure out how to apply.

Even if someone does not agree with their display choices, it's hard to deny how absolutely cool the inside of this store is. From champagne in bath tubs to dressing rooms with beds, this store seems to be partied out by the privileged preppies.

Jack Wills Jeep, spotted at many promotional events

I think my goal by the end of the summer will be to get a picture with the Jack Wills Jeep.
Watch out Lilly, you will always have a place in my heart, but Jack Wills is making moves.

Seeing Spring

I know it's actually a lot further than I want it to be, but I am already seeing so many items I want to complete my spring and summer wardrobes! I am known to be an avid Lilly lover, but I promise two posts in the same week is necessary.

Pictured above is the Sea & Be Seen Tote in "Hotty Pink Look Lady". Although this may seem like an ordinary tote, its large size makes it perfect for carrying books to class, going for a shopping excursion, and also doubling as a beach bag for the summer. Just looking at this bag makes me feel warm and happy. Don't miss the gold studs and hardware. How perfect would this be with a sundress and big floppy hat?

Until next time, I'll be counting down the days until I see a groundhog ...

Hygiene Essential

For Christmas, my fabulous, trendy Nana gave me, my cousin, my aunt and my mother all the Clarisonic Mias. As you can see, my mother and I got the Zebra & Cougar patterns, currently sold out everywhere. There is actually a waiting list to receive one! One person accounted for the buy out as too many "Jerseylicious people watching QVC at once". Whether or not that is true, I am in love with my animal print pattern.

At the time, I had no idea the weight of this gift. One month later, I cannot imagine my life without the Clarisonic Mia. I have literally become obsessed, occasionally engaging twice a day, both morning and night. Then after, to complete my daily regimen, always applying my other new obsession, Philosophy's Hope in a Jar moisturizer.

The Clarisonic "Mia" is the smaller edition to the larger "Classic" or "Plus" versions, that have 3 speeds and can be used for the whole body. The benefit however, is it comes in 6 fabulous colors, along with various limited edition shades. Catch them while you can, it's seriously worth it!! The Mia has 1 speed and 20 minutes of stored battery life. It's portable, waterproof (can be used while in the shower) and re-chargeable!
Limited Edition "Hope" Clarisonic: A portion of your purchase will go as a donation to support the "Look Good, Feel Good" campaign

This is a fantastic gift, believe it or not you can even personalize the back of the Clarisonic. In fact, there is even a prepared section of words to add to Clarisonic for men. Who said men can't also beautify? On the Clarisonic website, you can choose the color, model and preview what you want to say on your very own customized product.

THE HOW TO: First step is to wet your face and lightly wet the brush. This is why I prefer to do this in the shower. Next, apply cleanser to the brush. The technique is to hold the device to your face in a circular motion, applying pressure for 10 seconds on both cheeks, 20 seconds on the forehead, and another 10 seconds to nose and chin. It's really that simple!! 1 minute of your time for flawless skin. This has truly made my skin feel renewed and so soft.

So far I have only used the 3 Clarisonic cleansers that came in my all inclusive package: Gentle for sensitive skin, Nourishing for oily skin and Refreshing for normal/dry skin. Although, I am currently on the hunt for another cleanser that will work well with my device. I am looking into purchasing a philosophy cleanser as I love Hope in a Jar so much. Together this combination in unstoppable.

Valentine's Day Must! XoXo

Lilly Pulitzer is totally in tune with one of the most fabulous holidays of the year, Valentine's Day! Even if you don't have a Valentine, I love all of the colors and patterns associated with Valentine's Day. This is why when I saw Lilly had come out with a few Valentine's Day patterns, I had to blog. I often post links I am interested in spreading to others through my Facebook, but at risk of being that person who clogs up everyones news feed, I think that I will start blogging more.
