Everyone has seen them, better yet you probably wear them, the Jack Rogers Navajo sandal is the flop favorite of many preppy shoe divas. What you probably didn’t know is that Jackie O, classy & sophisticated (should’ve been a Kappa), is the reason why Jack Rogers are now so popular! In her time, Jackie was always seen walking around Martha’s Vineyard sporting this Indian inspired footwear. Since then they have become an American classic and really a “go to” shoe for any woman looking for a simple solution to a hot summer day.
Ironically, I have been fighting jumping on this Jack Rogers ban wagon for some time now. I know that I could use a pair, but I also know that everyone expects me to own them so I have been going against the grain… (until now… stay tuned for the later half of the blog…)
Nevertheless, I still love the Jack Rogers Navajo sandal. If you couldn’t already tell, I love the concept of branding, hence my Marketing concentration. I am hoping I get into Brand Management next semester, I have the last registration group for my grade this semester, ugh, so cross your fingers! Still, even before all the latest technology, when people see others with celeb status such as Jackie O wearing a certain sandal, they feel they also need to have it. Jackie O single handedly is the reason why Jack Rogers thrived, particularly in the New England region.
Their staple shoe has evolved over time, adding limited editions such as the highly exclusive and impossible to find alligator and lizard couture collection, but also expanding to different materials such as a jelly sandal. Now the Navajo sandal not only comes in almost any color combination you can imagine, they also are available in heels!
This leads me to my main trigger for this blog post, the trigger that is swooning me on to the Jack Rogers ban wagon. Today I discovered these fabulous bedazzled Jack Rogers flops. These shoes are finally giving me a reason to justify caving in to the popular trend, and not “just because”. I am enchanted by the gems that are able to transform the Navajo shoe from simplistic to diva star. Don’t let the sparkles fool you; although the leather is coated in faux-diamonds, these shoes are far from gaudy. Now you may be thinking, but isn’t the whole point of the Navajo sandal a relaxing summer shoe? So what! Add these glittery shoes to your collection and enjoy! They will jazz up any outfit in no time!
Most Navajo sandals retail at $98.00 USD but limited edition prices may vary. Right now the Embellished Thong Sandal is available for $146.95 USD. Slightly pricey for a sandal, but worth a splurge to add a little shimmer in your step!
I already have the silver ones with the embellished gems on them and I LOVE THEM =] Sooo many compliments U NEED a pair!
